How it works
Three steps to a letter you can send
Step 1: Pick your resume
Choose the resume you're applying with. Your name, contact line, roles, results and skills all come from it.
Step 2: Add the job
Enter the job title and company, paste the job description, and choose a professional, warm or concise tone.
Step 3: Generate, edit, download
Get a first draft, rewrite anything that doesn't sound like you, then copy the text or download a matching PDF.
Sample letter
Specific, short and in plain English
A good letter connects two or three real results to what the job asks for, then gets out of the way. That's the shape the builder aims for.
- Opens with the exact role and company
- Uses results already on the resume
- Mentions only skills the resume shows
- Ends with a clear, polite next step

Rainfield Grocers
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to apply for the Senior Data Analyst role at Rainfield Grocers. For the past four years I have turned sales and supply data into decisions that store and category teams actually use, and your focus on reducing fresh-produce wastage is exactly the kind of problem I enjoy.
At Coirleaf Retail, I built the weekly demand dashboard in Power BI that 38 store managers now use to plan orders. By combining point-of-sale data with delivery schedules in SQL, I helped cut vegetable write-offs by 12% across the Kochi region in one year. I also automated the monthly margin report, which took the finance team two days to prepare by hand and now refreshes overnight.
Your description asks for strong SQL, Python and stakeholder communication. I use SQL and Python daily, and I run a fortnightly review with category heads where I explain what the numbers mean in plain language and agree on the next test to run.
I would welcome the chance to discuss how I could help Rainfield Grocers plan stock with more confidence. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely, Kavya Menon
The AI only uses what's in your resume
Drafts are built from the employers, roles, results and skills you've already written down. If a job asks for something your resume doesn't show, the letter leaves it out instead of claiming it. The fix is to update your resume, not the letter.
Always review before you send
A draft is a starting point. Read it aloud, check every claim is accurate, and change anything that doesn't sound like you. A letter never guarantees an interview, but a careful, honest one gives yours a fair hearing.
Cover letter questions
Does the AI make things up?
It is instructed to use only what's in the resume you pick: your employers, titles, results and skills. It won't add numbers or skills you haven't listed. AI can still misjudge wording, so read every sentence before you send it.
How much does a cover letter cost?
Each generated draft uses 3 AI credits. The Free plan includes 15 credits a month and up to 3 saved cover letters; Pro includes 400 credits and up to 100 letters. Editing, copying and downloading are free.
Can I edit the letter?
Yes. The draft appears on a page you can type into directly, and your changes save automatically. You can also change the tone or job details and generate a fresh draft.
Will the PDF match my resume?
The downloaded letter uses your resume's letterhead details, font, accent colour and page size, so the two look like a set when you send them together.
My resume is short. Will the letter still work?
The letter can only be as specific as your resume. If it has few achievements, the draft stays general rather than inventing detail. Add a couple of concrete results to your resume first for a stronger letter.
Should I write a new letter for every application?
Yes. Paste each job description and generate a separate letter, so the draft picks the parts of your experience that matter most for that role.
